Volunteer Positions

Admissions

Responsible for greeting spectators and ticket sales at admission gates, off-course parking lots, and clubhouse.

Driving Range

Communicate names of practicing pros to spectators via signage.

Marshal

The Marshal's responsibilities consist of providing control over the gallery, cross walks, ball spotting, rope and gate maintenance for every hole and moving throughout the course during tournament week.

Walking Scorer

Walking Scorer must be available to work an entire round and walk an entire 18 holes wearing a fanny pack with a palm pilot, data radio, battery pack, and voice radio with his/her assigned pairings. A thorough knowledge of golf is necessary for this position as scoring includes recording statistics on a palm pilot. Computer or palm pilot knowledge a plus. The Tour insists you attend 1 training session on the operation of the palm pilot. You will not be allowed to score unless you attend this training. Must be 18 years of age.

Standard Bearer

This is considered a "physical" position, as you will carry a sign for an entire round of golf (approximately 5 hours). We recommend that you should be in good physical health when volunteering as a standard bearer.

Transportation

Responsible for traffic flow around the Nicklaus Golf Club, and designated spectator parking lots. Must be 18 years of age.

Volunteer Registration and Hospitality

Register volunteers, serve lunches, courier volunteers to their positions, and assist at volunteer central.

Finishing Tents

Assist with Caddy Bibs and scorecard verification of the players and walking scorers.

Pre-Events

Volunteers are needed March through August of each Tournament year to help with various Tournament operations, including bulk mailings, public relations, tickets for charity, office help, gift bags, etc.

On-Course Hospitality

Set-up, distribution, and clean up of Pro-Am Events, corporate tents, and skyboxes. These volunteers may be responsible for handling money and adult beverages. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Special Events

These events may include assistance with family fun day and the pairings party. Volunteers will be needed to manage crowds, hand out gifts, set-up and tear down the events.

Information Center

Responsible for directing spectators and volunteers to areas of the golf course. Will also need to communicate with security, first aid and volunteer central.
